While pursuing her BA in Communications at Simon Fraser University, Mary completed her studies at Charles University in Prague. Shortly after living in Europe, she moved to Toronto where she studied and worked in the world of advertising, This particular moment gave her a strong understanding of the importance of keeping things simple and having a strong design concept. Her last move brought her home to Vancouver where she studied at the School of Interior Design at BCIT while being mentored by Marieke Burgers with MBI Interiors. She has worked on residential, retail and hospitality projects. Outside of the office, Mary is known for her dinner parties and loves to cross country ski and get out on the water sailing with her husband Cedric and their two daughters, Eva and Antonia. “There is a feeling of well-being in contemporary design, because spaces can breathe...they are open, uncluttered, and very carefully considered.  This is today’s luxury, and for me the greatest self-regulator in my design process, which is to create elegance without all the superfluous extras or trends”.
