Simon Dejong
Project Manager, Architectural Technologist

Since a child I have been fooling around on my fathers job sites. Once high school was over it turned serious and the fooling around became a job. I worked my way around Australia as a carpenter involved in custom homes, spec homes, commercial and high-rise projects till the age of 25 when I migrated to Canada in 2001. Since arriving in Canada I have continued as a carpenter, while furthering my education in Site Management courses and Architectural Technology programs at BCIT, working my up from Carpenter to Foreman to Site Super to Project Manager.

With nearly 25 years in the industry my experience and education have me feeling confident in solving any challenge that may present itself on a project. I have worn many hats as a worker, a sub-contractor, a general contractor, even designer and have been a client. Creating an environment where the client is comfortable and can enjoy the experience of building a home and an investment is what’s important to me.

Outside work I have an incredible balance of my beautiful wife, and two amazing sons. As a family we enjoy traveling to new places and endeavoring new experiences. We are involved in many community sports and art programs and we take nothing for granted.
With the right balance in life I believe it’s important both where you want to get and how it is you get there.
